Well-known parties like Eosta and Lidl already have developed distribution centers on the business park LogistiekPark A12 in Waddinxveen, the Netherlands. The park - located in the Zuidplaspolder in the Rotterdam, Gouda and Zoetermeer triangle - is part of the Glasparel + development in Waddinxveen. The development of LogistiekPark A12 is a collaboration between Wayland Real Estate and Montea. "We offer space for logistic warehouses ranging from 20,000 m² to 120,000 m² in this business park," says Hylcke Okkinga of Montea Netherlands.
In full swing
"We build and design warehouses entirely tailored to the customer. The unique thing about our way of working is that we are the final investor and we keep the properties for long term," says Hylcke. According to him, the real estate market is currently in full swing. "There is a big demand for logistics space in the Netherlands and the offer is limited. Several parties have expressed their interest in this business park and we are intensively exploring the possibilities. LogistiekPark A12 is from a logistical point of view very convenient in the heart of Randstad as it is directly accessible to the A12 The Hague-Utrecht and indirectly on the A20 Rotterdam-Utrecht. "
"In addition, the real estate development can be realized in the short term, as the environmental permit has already been requested. Delivery of the warehouses is possible within eight months after the agreement. The business park is an expansion at the successful Distipark A12 / Doelwijk and the municipality of Waddinxveen supports new space for logistics companies. There are 20 hectares of land available for logistics and distribution. LogisticsPark A12 is therefore an ideal location for logistics companies in the fruit & vegetable sector," says Hylcke.
Sustainability plays an important role in the logistics park. "The XXL plots are ideal for high-quality logistics real estate that meet the latest logistical and sustainable standards and principles", decides Hylcke enthusiastically. Future tenants at LogistiekPark A12 can count on interesting energy facilities in Waddinxveen. The municipality encourages a renewable energy infrastructure. Heat networks are developed, where the remaining heat from one user is sent to another user to meet his energy needs. Tenants on LogistiekPark A12 connect to this heating network. Additionally, rainwater from the logistics park will also be reused. The excess rainwater is delivered to the greenhouses on the nearby agri-business site, which is also part of the Glasparel + project, developed by Wayland.
